MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan quarterback Cooper Rush was named the Mid-American Conference West Division co-Offensive Player of the Week after he led the undefeated Chippewas to a 44-21 victory over UNLV on Saturday.
Rush, who won the award the previous week in leading CMU to a 30-27 upset of No. 22-ranked Oklahoma State, completed 20 of 33 passes for 352 yards and a Kelly/Shorts Stadium record six touchdowns in the win over UNLV.
He also rushed for 36 yards on three carries. With his performance, Rush went over 10,000 career passing yards and 800 career completions.
