MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan quarterback Cooper Rush was named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Rush, a senior from Charlotte, led the Chippewas to a 30-27 upset of No. 22-ranked Oklahoma State on Saturday in Stillwater, Okla.
He completed 30 of 42 pass attempts for 361 yards and four touchdowns. His final dramatic pass of the day, a 51-yard Hail Mary with no time remaining, went for the winning touchdown.
