MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan football video coordinator Jay McDowell has been named the Mid-American Conference Video Coordinator of the Year.
The award is administered by the Collegiate Sports Video Association and is voted on by football video coordinators at each MAC school. Among the criteria are professionalism and quality of work.
McDowell oversees the Chippewas’ state-of-the-art video analysis system, the DragonFly game exchange system, seven student workers, and the maintenance of the recruiting video database.
He coordinates the filming of all practices and games and the production of highlight films and graphics and is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all computer and technology related to the CMU football program.
