MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan quarterback Cooper Rush was named to the Maxwell Award watch list on Tuesday.
The award, now in its 80th year, goes to the college football's player of the year.
Rush, a senior from Charlotte, was one of 90 players named to the list. He is one of four on the list who represent a Mid-American Conference school.
Rush, who moved into the starting lineup early in his freshman year, has developed into one of the most prolific passers in Chippewa history.
