MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan University running back Romello Ross will miss the 2016 season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament, coach John Bonamego said Thursday.
“I’m disappointed for Romello because he played an important role for us last season and was in position to continue to improve,” Bonamego said. “I know he will work hard to be back for 2017.”
Ross, a sophomore from Detroit, averaged 4.6 yards per carry as he rushed for 247 yards and four rushing touchdowns last season. He also caught 11 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.
