MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Yes, Oklahoma State is ranked 22nd by the Associated Press. Yes, the Cowboys throttled overmatched Southeastern Louisiana, 61-7, in their season opener last week. And, yes, Oklahoma State is a storied program that last year finished 10-3 and played in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

John Bonamego’s main concern? His Central Michigan Chippewas, who dominated their own opener, 49-3 over Presbyterian.

“Your preparation, when you commit yourself to the process, isn’t going to be any different if you’re playing Presbyterian or Oklahoma State,” the second-year Central Michigan football coach said earlier this week.
