MOUNT PLESANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Cooper Rush was named on Monday as one of eight quarterbacks nationwide one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week.
Rush, who won the award the previous week in leading CMU to a 30-27 upset of No. 22-ranked Oklahoma State, completed 20 of 33 passes for 352 yards and a Kelly/Shorts Stadium record six touchdowns in the win over UNLV.
He also rushed for 36 yards on three carries. With his performance, Rush went over 10,000 career passing yards and 800 career completions.
