Five Reasons to be Excited for CMU Women’s Basketball

In 25 days, the Central Michigan women’s basketball team opens the season with a veteran team of four seniors and three juniors with the goal of repeating as the overall regular-season Mid-American Conference champion.

There are plenty of reasons to be in McGuirk Arena to watch the Chippewas, but we’ll start with five.

1. It’s a veteran team that already has Mid-American Conference rings
The Chippewas went 23-9, 15-3 in the MAC last season and became the first CMU team since 1985 to win the overall regular-season conference title. Returning starters include junior point guard Presley Hudson, senior forward Tinara Moore, senior guard Cassie Breen and junior forward Reyna Frost.
