Five Central Michigan University football players signed as free agents in the hours following the conclusion of Saturday’s NFL Draft.
Senior defensive end Joe Ostman (6-3, 260) was signed by the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles while wide out Corey Willis (5-10, 175) signed with the Arizona Cardinals; defensive back Amari Coleman (5-11, 190) with the Detroit Lions; offensive lineman Joe Austin (6-6, 290) with the Atlanta Falcons and JP Quinn (6-4, 295) with the Indianapolis Colts.
CMU’s Tyler Conklin was the lone Chippewa drafted as he went 157th overall to the Minnesota Vikings. Conklin was the 20th pick in the fifth round.
