BURLINGTON, Vt. -- La Salle scored both goals in the second half Saturday in handing Central Michigan a 2-0 loss in a non-conference field hockey match in the Vermont Catamount Classic at Vermont's Molton Winder Field.
The loss wrapped up the season-opening weekend for the Chippewas (0-2), who dropped a 2-1 decision to Vermont on Friday.
Sunday's result was particularly frustrating for second-year CMU coach Molly Pelowski.
"Actually, I thought we controlled the game," she said. "We really moved the ball better than they did, I thought we pressed better than they did.
