MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team was outshot, 36-1, Friday, in dropping an 8-0 non-conference game to Louisville at the CMU Field Hockey Complex.
The Chippewas (1-4) play Columbia (1-1) on Sunday (noon) at Michigan State. Louisville (5-0) is ranked seventh.
Louisville had 15 penalty corners and held the Chippewas to none. The Cardinals led at halftime, 4-0.
Minout Mink had three goals and an assist to lead the Cardinals.
CMU freshman goalkeeper Abigail Ebersole registered 16 saves. She has made 32 saves in three games.
