MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team dropped its Mid-American Conference opener to Miami (Ohio), 6-0, Friday at the Central Michigan Field Hockey Complex.
The Redhawks (4-5 overall, 1-0 MAC) scored five second-half goals and outshot the Chippewas, 23-6, in the game. Central Michigan is 1-7 and entertains Indiana in a non-conference game Sunday at noon. The Hoosiers (4-4) played Rutgers Friday afternoon in a Big Ten game.
Central’s Kayla McClure registered two defensive saves on the day. CMU had two shots on goal, one each by Maude Stalars and Jasmine Banks.
