Central Michigan field hockey’s quest to find their first win of the season continues after a 2-0 loss to Ohio on Saturday.
The Chippewas extend their losing streak to 24 games, dating back to last season.
“I thought we played hard for 70 minutes,” head coach Molly Pelowski said. “It was a good match from an equally matched team in my opinion. We look forward to the next match down the road.”
CMU (0-10) failed to register a shot in the first half, while the Bobcats produced nine, four of which were on goal. Ohio (3-8) scored the half’s lone goal at the 25:10 mark when Maria Russell’s shot bounced off of junior goalkeeper Lily Amadio and in the net.
