RICHMOND, Va. – The Central Michigan field hockey team dropped a 2-0 nonconference decision to VCU on Sunday at the Rams’ Cary Street Field.
The Chippewas (0-9) are scheduled to return to Mid-American Conference action when they play host to Ohio on Saturday (1 p.m.). The Bobcats are 2-8, 0-2 MAC.
“Heading into this match, I thought we were equally matched with VCU,” CMU coach Molly Pelowski said. “We needed to make more attacking opportunities and overall we just need to really trust the process.”
Spencer Tossone put the first goal on the board for VCU at the 18:43 mark.
