MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Central Michigan field hockey team fell to Kent State, 7-0, in a Mid-American Conference matchup at the CMU Field Hockey Complex on Friday.
The Chippewas (0-15, 0-4 MAC) will travel to Miami (Ohio) for a conference contest on Friday, Oct. 20 (5 p.m.). The RedHawks are 6-6, 4-0.
Kent State scored three first-half goals, the first off the stick of Helen Harper at the 8:26 mark. Harper and Jessica Apelt finished with two goals apiece.
“We had some chances, but then the first goal went in and we didn’t respond very well,” CMU coach Molly Pelowski said.
