A loss to Virginia Commonwealth University extends the Central Michigan field hockey team’s losing streak to 23 games.
The Chippewas lost 2-0 to the Rams on the road Sunday afternoon. They were out shot 23-3, and ou tshot on goal 15-2.
CMU trailed at the half once again, allowing a goal by VCU’s Spencer Tossone at the 18:43 mark. Junior goalkeeper Lily Amadio, who allowed one goal on four shots on goal, was pulled for the second straight game, replaced by sophomore Abigail Ebersole at the 23:14 mark.
