New field hockey head coach Catherine Ostoich has led her team to victory for the first time this season in a 1-0 win against Saint Louis.
"The best part about it is when you look in to (the players) eyes and they are like, 'Okay, we've got one win. But, we aren't done,'" Ostoich said.
The win in New York marks field hockey's first win since Sept. 3, 2016 against Quinnipiac. Last season, the Chippewas did not record a win under former head coach Molly Pelowski. Now, the Chippewas hold a 1-1 record after losing the season opener to Colgate, 1-0.
