BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana scored four unanswered goals on Friday in downing Central Michigan, 4-1, in a nonconference field hockey game at the IU Field Hockey Complex.

The Chippewas (0-5) play host to Saint Louis (2-2) on Sunday (noon) in their home opener at the CMU Field Hockey Complex.

Carly Brengosz scored 3 minutes, 37 seconds into Friday’s game to stake the Chippewas to a 1-0 lead. Brengosz’s goal, her first of the season, came off a Harriet Aburn penalty corner.

“We started out really positively with an early goal on a great corner by Harriet and Carly,” CMU coach Molly Pelowski said.
