MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team lost their Senior Day game, 8-0, in a non-conference matchup against No. 10-ranked Northwestern on Sunday at the CMU Field Hockey Complex.
The Chippewas (1-16) were outshot 36-9 and managed one shot on goal. The Wildcats (11-6) also held a 13-3 edge in corners.
“We have to look at the positive things that come out of it, we gave up fewer penalty corners in the second half, we produced more shots than we did in the previous match, so we did some nice things.” CMU coach Molly Pelowski said.
