Field Hockey. Chippewas Drop 2-1 MAC Decision at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo – The Central Michigan field hockey slipped to 0-4 in the Mid-American Conference on Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Missouri State at the Bears’ Betty and Bobby Allison North Stadium.

The Chippewas (1-13 overall) were able to hold the Bears (2-10 overall, 1-3 MAC) to only five shots in the second half, but couldn’t complete the comeback after falling into a 2-0 halftime deficit.

“We didn’t start out very well in the first half,” CMU coach Molly Pelowski said. “They were very aggressive and got on the board quickly. We made some key adjustments at half and had opportunities, we scored once, but unfortunately we just couldn’t take enough advantage.
