The Central Michigan women’s basketball team charted a course beginning almost exactly a year ago, when it lost to Buffalo on an overtime buzzer-beater in the Mid-American Conference Tournament championship game in Cleveland.
The heart was broken, but the resolve was strengthened.
The Chippewas now stand on the verge of a Mid-American Conference regular-season championship.
