ALLENDALE, Mich. – True freshman sprinter Jack Dodge made a splash in his first stab at the men’s 400 meters, clocking CMU’s fastest time this season, 48.31 seconds, for a runner-up finish on Saturday at the Grand Valley State Big Meet.
Dodge already owns the team’s fastest 200-meter time, an adjusted 21.58 he posted at the Jack Skoog Open, which ranks fifth in the conference and qualifies him for the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships.
With his team-leading effort on Saturday, Dodge adds a No. 6 ranking on the MAC Performance List for the 400, but has a little work left to do to meet the qualifying mark of 47.
