DII hockey player beats brain cancer, starts cause to help others

After finding out he had a tumor in his brain, Shayn Lindquist told only three people about the disease: his mother, his father, and his best friend.

"I was on campus and received a phone call from my eye doctor, that's how I found out I had cancer," Lindquist said.

The Central Michigan Division II hockey player, from Clarkston, had a tumor in his brain called a germinoma.
