Central Michigan sophomore Presley Hudson played the role of hero on Friday night as she propelled the Chippewas past St. Joseph’s by a final of 73-71 in overtime.
Hudson, who was named Madness High-Major Conference Player of the Week on Monday, hit a three-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 63-63 and force OT.
In overtime she hit a lay-up as time to expired to seal the victory for the host Chippewas (7-3), who broke a two-game losing streak via the win.
The Chippewas trailed by 12 at 62-50 with just over three minutes left.
