Central Michigan Freshman all-around gymnast Kasey Janowicz was honored as this week's Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week.
The Bay City native posted her career best of 39.4 in all-around competition against Western Michigan Sunday. Her scores of 9.9 in the balance beam and floor exercise tied her career bests.
Janowicz's 39.4 puts her at only .225 away from the CMU gymnastics all around record set in 2003 by head coach Jerry Reighard's daughter Kara Reighard.
