Former Central Michigan University standout Tyler Conklin was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
The 6-foot-3, 254-pound tight end, went 157th overall to the Minnesota Vikings.
Conklin, who hails from L’Anse Creuse High School, played in the Senior Bowl earlier this year and was one of nine Mid-American Conference players invited to the NFL Combine in late February.
Conklin started his college career as a basketball player at Northwood before walking on to the CMU football team in 2014.
He finished his career with 83 catches for 1,159 yards and 11 touchdowns.
