MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Dylan Banagis was named the Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week after his performance at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet in Allendale.
Banagis, a senior from Grand Rapids, was measured at 20.86 meters – a personal record – in the weight throw, placing second among a strong field.
Banagis eclipsed the mark he set one week earlier in the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational. He finished third in the MAC Indoor Championships last season.
