MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl matchup is just the start of a renewed relationship for Central Michigan and Wyoming’s football teams. The Chippewas and Cowboys will play a home-and-home series in 2026 and 2027.
The Cowboys, members of the Mountain West Conference, will visit Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Sept. 19, 2026. The Chippewas will visit War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming, on Sept. 4, 2027. The games were finalized last week.
“Mountain West Conference schools touch every corner of the West and reach a broad base of fans,” CMU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said.
