The month of January was a rough one for the 23rd-ranked Central Michigan wrestling team.
Back in early January the Chippewas tipped the scales as the 16th-ranked Division 1 team in the country after opening the season with four straight victories.
Since then though Tom Borrelli and company have lost to No. 4 Missouri (26-9), No. 8 Michigan (22-12), No. 16 Iowa State (25-12) and unranked Oregon State (26-9) while beating 21st-ranked Ohio (16-15) and unranked Northern Iowa (22-11).
This weekend the Chippewas (6-4, 3-1 MAC) return home after a two-week hiatus to host upstart Eastern Michigan University (7-6, 2-4) and the University at Buffalo (8-7, 1-4).
