MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan women’s basketball team took its first Mid-American Conference loss of the season on Saturday when it fell at Buffalo, 67-56.
The Chippewas are 14-5, 6-1 MAC. Buffalo is 14-4, 4-3.
JoAnna Smith scored 29 points for Buffalo, and Summer Hemphill led the Bulls with nine rebounds.
Tinara Moore scored 21 points to lead CMU, while Jewel Cotton added 11 and Reyna Frost grabbed 10 rebounds. Moore and Cotton each had seven rebounds.
Buffalo limited CMU’s leading scorer, Presley Hudson, to eight points on a 2-for-12 shooting effort.
