DEKALB, Ill. - The Central Michigan University women’s basketball team picked up a huge Mid-American Conference victory on the road Wednesday as the Chippewas ran past host Northern Illinois 109-94.
The Huskies (16-6, 9-2 MAC) have led the MAC West Division for the majority of the season to date but have now dropped to third place behind the Chippewas (17-6, 9-2) and Ball State (17-7, 10-2).
The Chippewas dominated in this game which featured the two best offenses in the MAC as they led 25-23 at the end of one quarter before reeling off a 31-17 run in the second quarter to go into the half up 56-40.
