Is every team that good or are the standings just misleading?
A quick perfuntory perusal of the Mid-American Conference women’s basketball standings can leave one scratching their heads or yammering on about what a great conference the MAC is in 2016-17.
As is stands eight of the 12 women’s teams in the MAC have had successful non-conference slates so far this season.
For instance there is defending MAC Tournament champion Buffalo (11-1) which just had its 10-game winning streak snapped a couple days ago.

Then there’s Ohio (10-2), Northern Illinois (8-4), Ball State (8-5), Western Michigan (10-2), Toledo (9-3), Akron (7-5) and lastly the Central Michigan Chippewas (9-4).
