CMU women have six-game winning streak snapped at Buffalo

BUFFALO - The Central Michigan University women’s basketball team had its Mid-American Conference winning streak snapped at six Saturday as the Chippewas fell at the University at Buffalo 67-56.

The Chippewas (14-5, 6-1 MAC) shot a miserable 1-for-15 from beyond the 3-point arc and hit at a 32-percent clip from the floor on 19-of-59 shooting.

CMU took a 19-18 lead at the end of one quarter before the Bulls (14-4, 4-3) took a 35-31 lead into the half. Soon thereafter the hosts pushed their lead to double digits and the Chippewas never got back into the game as they missed nine straight shots in the stretch run.
