CMU women crush EMU, winning streak now at 10

YPSILANTI – The Central Michigan University women’s basketball team rolled to its 10th-straight victory Saturday as it crushed the host Eastern Michigan Eagles 95-72 at the Convocation Center.

With the win the Chippewas improve to 10-0 in Mid-American Conference play and to 18-3 overall while the Eagles fall to 9-12 overall and to 5-5 in conference play.

After taking a 36-28 lead into the half the Chippewas exploded in the third, outscoring the host Eagles 32-20 in the quarter to seal the victory.

The Chippewas were hot for the entirety of the game as they shot 61 percent from the floor on 35-for-57 shooting and hit at a 39-percent clip from downtown, going 10-for-26 from beyond the three-point arc.
