KALAMAZOO - The Central Michigan University women’s basketball program nailed down a 94-73 road win at Western Michigan Wednesday in its regular-season road finale.
With the win the Chippewas improve to 22-7 overall and to 14-3 in Mid-American Conference play. CMU owns the best record in the MAC and could lock up the No. 1 seed at next week’s MAC Tournament with a home win against EMU (6-23, 1-16 MAC) on Saturday. Tip is scheduled for 1 p.m. from McGuirk Arena.
The Chippewas are tied with Ball State (21-8, 14-3) for the MAC West Division lead and for the best record in conference play.
