CLEVELAND - Survive and advance is the name of the game at this point and that’s exactly what the Central Michigan University women’s basketball team has been doing.
For the second time in three days the top-seeded Chippewas survived a scare at the Mid-American Conference Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
As it was the Chippewas outlasted fourth-seeded Miami by a final of 61-58 Friday in a MAC Tournament semifinal and will now play in Saturday’s 11 a.m. MAC title game against the winner of the Buffalo/WMU contest.
The game will be aired live on CBS.
