Junior tight end Tyler Conklin was named to the John Mackey Award Midseason Watch List on Wednesday. The award is given to the best tight end in the country.
The Chesterfield Township native leads all Mid-American Conference tight ends with 22 catches for 317 yards. He ranks second in yards per catch with 14.4.
Following a seven catch, 96 yard and two touchdown performance in CMU's upset victory against Oklahoma State, Conklin received the John Mackey Tight End of the Week Award.
