It’s a microcosm of the season to date.
When you look at the results from Friday’s Mid-American Conference doubleheader between host Central Michigan and visiting Akron you see two very different strains of game.
In the opener, a 3-0 Akron victory, you notice that the host Chippewas showed up but did very little after that as Zip ace Erin Seiler pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing only two hits while striking out six.
When you put the second slide under magnification though you see something totally different and equally familiar in that Margo Jonker and company played ‘CMU Softball’ like it’s been played for years at the comfy confines of Margo Jonker Stadium.
