On Wednesday afternoon from Central Michigan University’s Margo Jonker Stadium the Chippewa softball team opened the home docket with a single game against non-conference rival Oakland University.
In the end the Chippewas got a gem of a game from senior right-hander Rachael Knapp while doing just enough offensively and with the leather to nail down a 3-1 victory.
