The first month of the season is all about figuring things out.
Who’s on first, what’s on second and so on and so forth.
Through the first five weeks of the 2016 campaign the Central Michigan University softball team has been consistently inconsistent in that it’s won big games it wasn’t supposed to and lost some games it was supposed to win.
For example back on Feb. 20 the Chippewas beat ninth-ranked Arizona 4-1 but then were promptly outscored 48-7 in their next four games.
Heading into this week Margo Jonker and company are hoping and planning on putting it all together as they open the home season Tuesday and the Mid-American Conference slate this weekend.
