FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Central Michigan University men’s basketball team nailed down its 20th win of the season on Monday afternoon in an opening-round game of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.
As it was the Chippewas (20-14) bounced host Fort Wayne (18-15) by a final of 94-89 from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
CMU now advances to a second-round game against a to-be-determined opponent. The game will be played between March 22-25.
The Chippewas led 45-44 at the half and then squeaked past the host Mastodons by outscoring them 49-45 in the second half.

The game was uber-close throughout and featured nine ties and 10 lead changes.
