CMU men drop second game of season

CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Central Michigan University men’s basketball team lost its second game of the season Saturday as it fell to Southern Utah 86-80.

The Chippewas fall to 8-2 on the season with the loss while the Thunderbirds improved to 6-4.

CMU fell behind by double digits early in the first half before clawing back to get within two at 42-40 going into halftime.

The Thunderbirds went on an 11-0 early in the second half to claim a 56-42 lead and never looked back.

Cecil Williams led the Chippewas with his fourth career double-double as he tallied 21 points and 10 rebounds.
