Heading into Wednesday night’s Mid-American Conference showdown against Eastern Michigan University the Central Michigan University football program is one victory shy of becoming bowl eligible.
Heading into Wednesday’s 8 p.m. kickoff from Kelly/Shorts Stadium the Chippewas are 5-4 overall and 3-2 in MAC action. A sixth win would make them bowl eligible and with three regular-season games remaining on the docket they could improve their bowl stock considerably with a couple more wins.
With a win the Chippewas would also lock up the Michigan MAC Trophy which goes to the team that fares the best in three-way battle between CMU, EMU and WMU.
