Season on.
The Central Michigan University men’s and women’s basketball teams officially open the 2017-18 season on Friday with a home doubleheader.
The CMU men, who went 16-16 last season, host Siena Heights at 4 p.m. in the opener while the CMU women, who went 23-9 last season, play host to Purdue at 7 p.m.
Coming into these openers there is quite the contrast between the two teams.
The CMU men were picked to finish sixth in the Mid-American Conference West Division in the preseason poll after saying goodbye to Marcus Keene and Braylon Rayson.
