The 23rd-ranked Central Michigan University wrestling team closed the weekend out in style Sunday as it crushed visiting Buffalo by a final count of 30-9 from McGuirk Arena.
The Chippewas, who also best Eastern Michigan 22-12 Friday, won eight of the 10 bouts in the match en route to the rout.
With the win CMU improves to 8-4 overall and to 5-1 in Mid-American Conference action.
Buffalo falls to 8-8 overall and to 1-5 in the MAC.
“I like to see us scoring points,” said CMU head coach Tom Borrelli, whose team had 19 takedowns to Buffalo’s three Sunday.
