The San Jose State football team is coming to Kelly/Shorts Stadium in 2020 as part of a two-game agreement.
The 2020 game, finalized last week, will be the third time Central Michigan has faced the Spartans. The Chippewas won at San Jose State, 34-32, on Nov. 24, 1979, to finish a 10-0-1 season. They lost to San Jose State, 48-24, on Dec. 8, 1990 in the California Raisin Bowl.
San Jose State, a member of the Mountain West Conference, will play host to the Chippewas on Aug. 30, 2025.
“San Jose State is part of an outstanding non-conference schedule for us in 2020,” CMU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said.
