MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – After rallying from a 2-0 deficit to win its opener in the Chippewa Invitational on Friday, the Central Michigan volleyball team did not have another comeback up its sleeve.
Cleveland State defeated the Chippewas, 25-20, 25-20, 25-21, on Friday in CMU’s second game of the tournament at McGuirk Arena. CMU (6-2) is scheduled to close the invitational on Saturday (5 p.m.) against IUPUI (3-5).
“All in all, we move on,” CMU coach Mike Gawlik said. “It wasn’t our best match, but we did some good things and we have to get ready for an IUPUI match tomorrow and try to salvage a 2-1 weekend.
