CMU cross country bringing it back home in 2017

It’s a true testimonial to the homegrown talent that resides in mid-Michigan.

If you take a quick perfunctory glance at the Central Michigan University women’s cross country roster you can’t help but notice that a good portion of it is made up of local talent.

There’s redshirt senior Kirsten Olling from Breckenridge who is one of seven prep runners in state history to win four consecutive individual state titles at the MHSAA state finals at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.

There’s also redshirt senior Megan O’Neil and junior Emily Starck from Chippewa Hills who both helped the Warriors’ 2014 track and field team win the Division 2 state title all while earning All-State honors numerous times in cross country and track and field.
