Sportscaster Dick Enberg watches on as the CMU band plays before the game against Ohio on Nov. 15 at Kelly / Shorts Stadium.

After 60 years of sports broadcasting, Central Michigan alumnus Dick Enberg decided to turn off his mic after this past baseball season.

The Armada native was invited to lead the CMU Marching Chips at the Chippewas football game Tuesday night against Ohio. Before he led the band in playing the CMU fight song, Enberg spoke to an auditorium full of CMU students and faculty members in the Staples Music Building.

During his 45-minute talk, Enberg discussed his time at CMU, his early days in broadcasting and some memorable games he covered during his career.
