PITTSBURGH - Central Michigan women’s basketball team had its eight-game winning streak snapped Sunday at Duquense while the host Dukes extended their winning streak to eight games and counting.
Duquense (10-2) outscored the Chippewas (8-2) by a 35-19 tally in the second half to secure the 64-61 victory.
The Dukes came into the contest ranked eighth in the ESPN mid-major rankings while the Chippewas were ranked ninth.
The Chippewas came out fast in the first half and led 15-2 over the course of the first five minutes. CMU led by as many as 16 in the first half and went into the half up 42-29.
